We started our Christmas in Indiana with my family this year. Mom always tries to do something fun with the Grandkids, which is usually a craft type thing. This year she put together a play for us. She did wonderful with it, it was the story of Jesus being born. My nieces and nephews did great at remembering all their lines and they also had a handful of songs they sang! It was cute and everyone did great! We also have a tradition for the adults. My mom has these cute little present boxes that she sets next to our plates. Every year we put something in the box and then read it. We try and do something different every year. So mom asked me what we should do. What I came up with was everyone had to draw a name and write a bible verse that describes that person. Then at our Christmas dinner they read their verse and we had to guess who it was. It turned out to be pretty fun!
The Price Christmas-
The Schock Christmas-
This year we spent Christmas day with Loren’s family. We went out for the weekend and stayed through Christmas. Every time I go out there I beg to play the game Life on a Farm. No one is a huge fan of it but my awesome brother-in-laws played with me, they even let me win!! Notice Loren in the corner refusing to join in on the fun (: Nathan went over to Germany and France for vacation this summer and after trying the cheese, decided we needed to try it to. So he ordered cheese from France so we could try it at the Christmas. It was pretty good, I have never had French cheese and salami! The Schock Christmas tradition is in how they open gifts! Us kids draw names, but we don’t wrap the presents. We each have a blanket and our gifts get put under the blanket. We draw out our present and have to guess who gave it to us. If we guess wrong we have to wait until everyone else has guessed and then guess again. It is always fun and I always look forward to it! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful new year!!
