- Plain T-shirt or tank top you can embellish
- Enough fabric to wrap around you twice and the length of your liking
To create the sash I used the left over fabric from the tank top. I kind of stretched the fabric around me so it was tight and it was the look I was going for. Then I cut it at that spot and then sewed it together to create a circle. So when I wear the dress I can slip the sash over my head and into place. I did it this way because I didn’t want a bow in the back. My tank top was pretty flowy so I had enough left over to do it this way. If you don’t you can always create a sash from the dress material by sewing two of the same pieces together, flipping them inside out and doing a topstitch. Make sure you make it long enough to tie a bow. Or you can get a belt, or other knit material that matches your dress and do what I did. Enjoy and Happy Spring!!
