I know there are way better decorated shelves in bathrooms on pinterest, but for this small of a bathroom it wasn’t really practical for us to use that space for pretty things! As much as I want to, this works better for us!
When we moved into our house, it was painted all creams or whites, at least that was upstairs. Our basement had color in it. I love color so I set out right away to paint everything! I painted all the rooms with a bolder color, or darker color. So our bedroom got painted green, but we never did anything to the bathroom. I kind of got sick of the green pretty fast and a couple months ago I decided I wanted to paint our bedroom and bathroom. I decided I wanted a more neutral tone, so I went with grey. At least I thought it was grey! It ended up being a little purplish but it is fine. Our master bathroom is not so much master…it is pretty small. But hey, I would rather have a small bathroom than none in our bedroom! So when we moved in they had a cabnit above the toilet and a mirror cabnit for extra storage. There isn’t a closet in the bathroom. It was fine, but I wasn’t really loving the look. I saw on Pintrest the floating shelves and I loved them! I decided I wanted them above the toilet, so I asked my dad if he could install some for me. And he did! As for the mirror, I liked the extra storage, but it was so tiny, you could barley see your head, let alone a impatient husband trying to poke his head around me to get ready. Seemed we were always battling over the mirror! So I decided we need a bigger one, much bigger! Thanks so Home Goods I got one I really like! I made a new shower curtian and spray painted some baskets to complete the look. I am loving our new bathroom.
