Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous morning. The past few Saturday’s I have been giving myself a little break to “just go with it”. Usually I am super task oriented and love eyeing my to do list to see how much I am getting done. I decided I need to just have a “go with it day”, and chose Saturday. A day to unwind and just let stress go. So I got up (of course without an alarm!!) ate breakfast and headed outside to drink coffee and work on my bible study. It couldn’t have been more relaxing and thought provoking. I just wanted to sit there all day enjoying the sights, smells, and sounds of spring. Maybe I am so spring crazy because we had such a long, cold, snowy winter. Spring is just the best feeling ever right now!
We have had a cow chair in our kitchen for awhile now. My parents were out in February and helped me get a lot of painting around the house done. One project I wanted to tackle was painting our kitchen chairs white. Our kitchen table was previously black. I decided I wanted a lighter happier color so I painted it mint. Mom tried to spray paint a chair, but with the garage door shut there were way to many fumes to try and complete all six chairs!! We have had one half black half white chair sitting at our kitchen table since then. I called him the cow chair. Saturday seemed like the perfect day to finish painting him and start on some other ones. I had recently bought new fabric to recover the cushions. I went with a laminated fabric for easy cleanup. With little kiddos in the near future laminated cotton seems like a way better option than normal fabric!
