One of the first things we did was go to breakfast at Yoder’s. I have many memories there! They have the best cinnamon rolls. I remember going there with my parents and Uncles and just ordering this beastly cinnamon roll. I saved this best bite with the most frosting for last. My uncles were always teasing me so they distracted me and stole the last yumminess of the cinnamon roll! It didn’t disappoint this time either, it was still the yummiest cinnamon roll ever! Don’t worry I didn’t eat that all….Loren and I shared. 🙂
Every day included soaking up the sun reading on the beach. Long walks looking for sand dollars. And of course riding the waves. It was so great to just do absolutely nothing together! Siesta Key is a beautiful beach!
Another day we went to Venice Beach to look for Shark teeth. I found out I have an attention span of about 2 min when it comes to looking for teeth. I ended up just watching Loren look while a little crab entertained me by digging a hole about 5 feet away.
Our last day in Florida was mothers day. We woke up early and took a morning walk on the beach. Little baby was kicking most all of the day. I think she was trying to say happy mothers day! It was fun feeling her so active! Baby bump at 23 weeks!
This was probably the hardest vacation to come home from. It was such a great break from our busy life I could have stayed another week! That along with all the memories it brought back from trips to Florida in the past. We also got to spend time with my Aunt and cousins. It was hard not having my Uncle there. He is greatly missed, but he gets to traverse paradise everyday up there in Heaven!
