Attitude: A settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.
I love the definition of attitude. It makes me realize just how important it is to have a positive attitude. It is so easy for a bad attitude to crowd out the good in life. When we choose to have a negative attitude toward something we can only see the negative’s of the situation. When we choose to have a positive attitude, we see the positives. Is the glass half empty or half full? It is a thought so easily thrown around, and so simple. But do we really look at life that way? It is the same situation, but the way we look at it can determine how content we are with the situation.
We are hear to glorify God. When we let a bad attitude cloud out our joy we fail to see the beauty of the situation. Instead of focusing on the bad, try and find areas of the situation that we can glorify God in. Soon our “bad situation” may seem like an area to rejoice in!
Scripture to ponder:
Pslam 118:24- “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16- “Rejoice evermore.”
