I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I enjoyed writing it. I have learned a lot just by writing. It has definitely helped me to get my heart in a much better place. As I wrap this series up, I want to finish by saying, we need to be content with our life, while being discontent with this world. We can’t get so content here on earth that we lose our desire for Heaven. 1 Chronicles 29:15 says: “For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.” None of us stay on this earth forever. We can’t get too comfortable here. We need to always have a longing in our hearts to be with Jesus.
In this life we have struggles. They only reinforce the longing for Heaven. I love what 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 says:
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
This life and all that is in it will soon be gone. Lets take our focus off of what we can see and focus on what we can’t see. Our reward and blessing is hidden there.
