In past years I have had goals for the new year. I haven’t really thought too much about it this year. However, now I probably need them much more than I ever have. Ever since having Kina I may have let quite a few good habits go! Exercising has been put on the back burner along with reading and *gasp* cleaning! So since its a new year, I think it’s time for me to make a few goals for myself!
-Get back into exercising. I started an accountability group with some friends that will keep me on track 😉
-Start cooking healthier, less bad carbs and more fruits and veggies!
-Read the bible in one year. I have always wanted to do this, but never have had the ambition. While looking through plans on my bible app I saw a plan for the bible in one year. It game me ambition to finally do it! I am already really enjoying it!
-I would like to start reading more again. On my reading list is:
1. Smart Money Smart Kids by Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruze
2. The Parenting Collection by Dr. James Dobson
3. On Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
4.Loving the Little Years, Motherhood in the Trenches by Rachel Jankovic
5. And of course a few fiction books found by browsing through the library.
-Try my hand at making clothes for Kina
-Schedule less and just go with it more
-Stress less and laugh more
-Worry less and pray more
-Constantly remind myself that time goes fast so enjoy each moment. I absolutely love this poem:
-Stay positive. It is so easy to slip into negative thinking. So this year I am going to focus on positivity/optimism.
-Start a journal for “counting my blessings”. Each night this year I am going to write one thing I am thankful for.
It is always such a great feeling to have goals set out for myself! How about you? Have you set any goals for yourself this year?
