You continue to make us love you more and more each day. I can’t image life without you, you light up our days!
Naps: 2-3 Naps a day. Sleeping at night from 7:30-8PM to 5:30-6:30AM
Feeding: Three bottles a day 8-9 ounces each. Solids three times a day.
Clothing: 6 month and 9 month
Eating: This month I started on 3 bottles instead of 4. You were really starting to refuse to eat all your bottle at each feeding and before bed you would sometimes only eat 3 ounces. So now, when I get you up around 7, you get a full bottle. Then around 8 you eat breakfast which consists of fruit and toast, or a muffin. Then at 11 you eat lunch. Around 1-2 you have your second bottle. At 5:30 you eat supper with us, and at 7 you have your last bottle. It is really working out great! This mamma is really sad to see your bottle slowly going away. I love the cuddle time! You pretty much eat whatever we eat now, which is really nice. I started off giving you just plain veggies and plain chicken, and gradually adding more diverse foods. Now, as long as it is soft, we feed it to you. You haven’t had any reactions and so far eat anything we give you! You love love love meal time! You do really good at picking up food and eating yourself. Of course you make a huge mess, which slightly stresses mommy out, but hey it’s all okay!
Development: You got your first teeth this month! Your two bottom teeth are officially through! Ugh, you are getting so big I can’t hardly handle it! You are so close to crawling, but haven’t yet. You can drag yourself forward and can roll to get pretty much wherever you want though. You still love to blab and blab. When you are distressed or not feeling well you repeat mom mom mom mom over and over getting louder and more demanding! It does make me feel special that you say that when you aren’t feeling well. Makes me feel very needed! This month you have been more clingy and needy than previous months I think it is because of your teeth, and you also had a cold for awhile. It is hard to get anything done and that feels frustrating sometimes, but I tell myself you will only be little once, and try and find and focus on the beauty of the moment. You love your walker. You really started walking in it this month, you are getting better at navigating through the kitchen and have made your way into the pantry to play with bags of chocolate chips and marshmallows. You are discovering the world and it is so fun to see! You have been giving “hugs” lately. When I pick you up, you will just grab onto me and squeeze. I love it! You also have started clapping, that is really cute to see!
A few things you are loving right now:
-Going on walks
-Dancing, when you hear music or if I sing, you will start bobbing up and down.
-Tags on clothes
-kicking your crib
-Grabbing faces and glasses
-Looking at pictures and books
A few things your not to fond of:
-Being left in a room alone, again very clingy this month!
A few things you are teaching us:
Patience. On the days you are demanding, my patience can run slightly thin, but I know you don’t mean to be, and I know this is only a stage!
I sound like a broken record, but really where is life’s pause button!? I can’t seem to find it, and life seems to be in fast forward. I can’t believe you are 8 months old. It’s not always easy being a parent, and on those hard days I try and remind myself that you will only be little once. To enjoy each moment and not take them for granted. You are such a little blessing and we love you so very much!
