Today is the day!! I am so excited to release my beloved wallet pattern! It is available exclusively through UpCraft Club for two days then it will be available in my shop after that also. If you don’t know what UpCraft club is, it is a site that only accepts high quality patterns. I am super excited and honored to have my pattern on their site! Check out their website to learn more about them! Oh and while you are there grab your own copy of The Everyday Wallet pattern 😉
This is truly my baby. It kickstarted my sewing career and I have some serious love for it! I shared the full story on the tester call if you are interested.
As always a huge thank you to my testers for all their awesome help! I am super grateful for them all!
Lets get into the details. I bought a wallet while in college and it was great. I really did like it, but when I started making wallets I decided I better sport my creations. I switched out my old wallet for my handmade wallet and couldn’t believe the difference it made weight wise. My purse was SO MUCH LIGHTER! My shoulder thanked me many times. Trust me, if you make this wallet, you shoulder will thank you too. Just listen really closely 😉
I love how this wallet has everything you possibly need in a wallet while still being lightweight and cute. I also love the fact that it is machine washable. Yep, when it gets dirty you can throw it in the washing machine. Easy cleaning! I do recommend putting it in a garment bag on a gentle cycle. Air dry only, you don’t want to melt that ID slot. If it dries slightly wrinkly you can simply press out the wrinkles, taking care to avoid touching your iron to your ID.
Lets talk functionality:
Both version’s are the same inside and they include:
-Two large pockets for money or checkbooks
-6 credit card holders with the ability to hold 2-3 cards per slot
-A large zipper pouch
-A clear ID slot
Closed: 7 3/4″ wide x 4″ tall
Open: 7 3/4″ wide x 8″ tall
The outside of the wallet can be made with a bow, or decorative leather corners!
Happy Sewing! Remember to tag your creations #theeverydaywallet and #theruffledstitch to I can see your amazing wallet!
I will be posting a roundup of all my tester versions Wednesday for inspiration!!
