Awhile back I hacked the Union St Tee into a dress, but I had yet made an actual shirt with the pattern. I had some fabric laying around screaming to be used along with a closet that was telling me I needed some more T shirts so I started on my new Union Tee’s! I was a little intimidated by the V neck version but I decided to make one of each anyway. This pattern comes with a scoop neck version and a V neck version.
I was blown away by how easy the V neck version was to make! I had no reason to be intimidated by it. The instructions are super easy to follow making the process totally doable! I was pretty proud of the outcome of my V neck version. I am more of a scoop neck person, but after making the Union V neck, I know I will be making more!
I love a classic T shirt, but I have never felt comfortable in many store bought T shirts. They are either too tight around my lower body showing off things I would rather not show off, or they are to low. Or they just plain don’t fit and I feel uncomfortable in them. I love the final fit of the Union Tee. It is perfection and I will never go back to buying a store bought Tee. Not when I can make something that fits and I feel comfortable wearing!
I decided not to alter the neckline at all when making the V neck since it was my first time, but I feel like the V is a tad low for my liking. The next time I make one I will make the V higher. It’s not that big of a deal, it is just my personal preference! The scoop neck was perfect I love the place the neckline hits on that one. I love this pattern so much I am already envisioning my next one. I would love to size up one or two times to achieve a slouchy look and maybe apply some type of graphic. I still can’t decide what I want it to say. I have seen so many cute graphic Tee’s lately!
Comment below and tell me what you think I should use as a graphic on my next Tee!!
