I was able to test the Santa Fe Top pattern for Hey June Handmade. I always fall in love with all her patterns and proceed to make tons of garments from them. I love how they are simple, cute, and so wearable! This pattern did not disappoint! It was a super quick and easy sew with amazing results!
The pattern comes in sizes XS-2XL and includes six different versions both in tank top styles, and dolman sleeved styles. All the options make this a super versatile garment! You can also easily dress it up or down leaving a wide array of occasions to wear it to!
I packed three of these to take on vacation. One I wore for hiking, and the other two I wore for out and about. I love the loose flowy style of them. That is totally my style. I loved everything about the pattern, including fit, directions, and final garment. I know I will be making many more of these!
The first tank I made (the pink, black, and grey one) I made view E and followed the directions. The second two I made, I used view A and lengthened them both by 2″. I just like long tops. For one of them I followed the directions to exclude the center seam. The other one I included the center seam. I love how they both turned out! It was perfect for hiking because it flowed nicely letting the breeze keep me cool, verses a fitted garment that hinder air movement! It was beyond comfortable!
I love this pattern and would highly recommend it (along with any of her other patterns!)
Cost: The black and pink one used half of a knit fix fabric so around $4.00
The striped one was from the huge black Friday sale Girl Charlee had last year. I think I never spent more than $4.00 per yard, so probably around $4.00.
Both fabrics used came from Girl Charlee.
